I95 which thousands of residents of Stafford county and Fredericksburg use each day to get to work is getting shutdown this weekend starting at 4pm on Saturday 9/21 to 10am 9/22. This is part of the Rappahannock River Crossing Project which is designed to help reduce the congestion that occurs on I95 near Fredericksburg. The Fredericksburg/Stafford area has experienced incredible growth over the past 10 years. With affordable housing and up and coming shopping centers people are wanting to get a piece of the action. All this has required VDOT to take action to make sure the main highways can keep up with such growth. Many other infrastructure projects have already begun, as Stafford continues to be a place to be. Want more information, please check out the link below.
