2019 has been a wild ride. With starting the year off with a government shutdown to New Home Sales hitting a 10 year high. We can look back on 2019 and say it was a pretty good year for consumers, the market, and especially real estate. But being human we are always interested in the future and what it has in store for us. So see you later 2019 helloooooo 2020! 2020 is the start of a new decade, a new hope, a new way of doing business. With the last decade and the rise of social media, the way we market homes has completely changed. With 2020 that trend will not go away, as consumers are not being swayed by traditional advertising it is our job as real estate agents to fill the gap. What has worked in 2019 may not work in the next 5 years. The good news is the housing market is strong especially in the DC metro area. If you are going business here you can afford trial and error. According to Forbes it looks like the 2020 housing market will remain strong. This is the perfect time to try new ways of attracting clients. The millennial generation is finally entering the market, something that has long been delayed. With the largest generation entering the market now demand will grow for the first time homebuyer and this generation will not be easily sold to buy from you just because you think it is a good idea. Overall things are looking good for the real estate market. If the market happens to slow down then there are plenty of buyer looking to get in at the lower prices which will fuel growth for the years to come.
We wish everyone a Happy Hoildays and Happy New Years!
